This week I analysed a radio drama from BBC Radio 4 (The Archers) and BBC Radio 4 as a whole.

My Successes this week

I was able to create a clear and cohesive mind map as well as investigate what BBC Radio 4 is like.

My Challenges this week

Learning about the new frequencies was confusing since I had never heard about them before, so I had to thoroughly investigate them.

Unit 14 - LO1 P2- INVESTIGATING AUDIENCE PROFILES (P2)

BACKGROUND ༉‧₊˚.

BBC Radio was founded on the 30th September 1967

A group of leading wireless manufacturers, including Macaroni, had founded BBC Radio 4.

It is funded through people paying for a TV license

AUDIENCE PROFILE

It can listened to on radio, via the website, or you can use the BBC sounds app.

Their target audience is for:

1. people 55+ years (age)

2. people with a nationality of Britain or people who live in Britain (nationality)

3. people who are interested in politics or economics (lifestyle/ interests). It is a very heavy news based radio

According to RAJAR, their listening figures are 10.48 million (2021 4 quarter).

1. Those in the ABC1 bracket

2. They still attempt to appeal to everyone regardless of their background

➼ The radio plays nonstop, so you can tune in at any time during the day. The website allows you to jump to their early, morning, afternoon, evening or late uploads.
